We’re small by choice. When you work with ICR, you work directly with the founders - seasoned engineers who prioritize deep listening and collaborating with a high level of care. We’re not managing junior staff or juggling 50 projects. We take on work we can give our full attention, to maximize innovation and excellence from early design to occupation and beyond.

P.E. (OR), WELL AP, Living Building Challenge AP, LEED Green Associate
I have over 11 years of experience as an energy engineer and sustainability consultant, with several years at numerous large MEP firms, practicing mechanical design, and energy simulation. I have built energy models for over 100 projects, working on almost every project type in the industry.
Born in England, I moved to South Africa at 16 and then to the US in 2001. After seeking a way to have a deep and meaningful impact on the planet, I found energy and sustainability in the built environment and fell in love, pouring my energy and time into mastering diverse solutions.
As a WELL AP, Living Building Challenge AP, and LEED Green Associate, I have a deep understanding of comprehensive sustainability analysis, and can incorporate this knowledge through every element of design. My passion for rainwater and graywater systems and composting toilets, allows me to close the loop on water resiliency, and assist projects in getting ahead of future water scarcity. My experience with Biophilia allows me to support the integration of natural elements through data backed science, and my foundation in Permaculture supports holistic, whole-systems thinking using the vast wisdom of natural systems as a guide. I am passionate about placing humans at the center of building design. To make spaces that don’t just shelter, but nourish and inspire, taking great care on the environment we create for people, and how we support their uses and coming together to collaborate.
When I am not working or raising my two 8-year old twin girls, you can find me teaching Krav Maga self-defense to the community, dancing, or traveling the world.

I came to energy modeling because I wanted my work to matter. Not just to clients, but to the planet and to people who deserve healthy, efficient buildings regardless of their zip code or income level. With over 10 years in this field, I've learned that the most impactful work happens at the intersection of rigorous technical analysis and a commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving building performance for everyone.
My background includes leading energy modeling efforts at two of the Pacific Northwest's premier engineering firms—PAE and Affiliated Engineers—before co-founding ICR Engineering. I've modeled everything from million-square-foot LEED Platinum corporate campuses to complex airport terminals to multi-building tech office developments. I'm fluent in the industry's major energy modeling platforms (eQuest, IES-VE, EnergyPlus) and choose the right tool for each project.
Beyond project work, I'm involved in building code advocacy. I've worked with code development groups to conduct research that informs energy code and standards updates—because if we can raise the baseline for all buildings, we create far more impact than optimizing one project at a time. Good codes lift everyone up, especially disadvantaged communities that have historically borne the burden of inefficient, unhealthy buildings while lacking resources to improve them.
As a licensed Professional Engineer and LEED AP BD+C, I bring technical credibility to complex projects. As a WELL AP, I understand that energy efficiency and occupant health aren't competing priorities—they're complementary goals that make buildings better on every level. I've guided dozens of projects through LEED certification across all certification levels, and I know how to navigate the process efficiently without the drama.
I'm based in Bend, Oregon with my family. When I'm not modeling buildings, you'll find me training for Ironman triathlons.
